    Camp Chawanakee Summer Camp 2023

The troop still plans on going to Camp Chawanakee next summer. Details are unknown at this time if Camp Chawanakee will be open or the payment amount. Many families paid for the 2023 camp and have not received reimbursement. Camp Chawanakee has said that the money would be applied to the 2023 summer season.

    California Campfire Permit

Someone in the trek crew must have a valid fire permit with them on every backpack. It is helpful if multiple adults have permits, as a backup for when unexpected events occur, such as the permit being left in the other pair of pants, at home, etc. The cost is reasonable (i.e., $0.00), so it is cheap insurance to avoid having to make an unscheduled stop at a Ranger Station on the way to the trailhead sometime. You can easily obtain a permit on-line using the link Campfire Permit
